Growth in Motion

I am a somatic-centered (body-based) psychotherapist who embraces the mind-body connection as a pathway to healing and growth. As a trauma-informed, strengths-based therapist, I have had the privilege of working with neurodiverse and neurotypical clients across various age groups, from children to adults, in both group and individual settings.

My journey began at Oklahoma City University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance with a minor in Psychology. While I didn’t realize it at the time, these fields of study would eventually converge, guiding me toward my true passion and purpose. At Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, I pursued a Master of Arts in Somatic Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Dance/Movement Therapy. This specialized discipline is defined as the “psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration of the individual” (ADTA.org).

  • Since earning my degree, I have deepened my expertise through diverse professional experiences, including:
  • Supporting children with autism and similar developmental delays and disabilities in an early childhood center.
  • Providing therapy at a residential and outpatient clinical treatment facility for children who experienced trauma and neglect.
  • Offering in-home movement therapy for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Working in a private practice setting to provide individual therapy for children and adults.

I believe wholeheartedly in this work and know it is my purpose to support clients through their challenges, build on their strengths, and foster their overall well-being. It is both a privilege and an honor to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing.

My approach integrates somatic practices, neuroscience, attachment theory, developmental movement, polyvagal theory, and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics. I strive to meet each client where they are emotionally and developmentally, seeing them as unique individuals and supporting them in realizing their fullest potential.

I am deeply committed to being present, accepting, and compassionate, ensuring a safe and supportive space for every client I work with.
